Alice M. Doll, a beacon of love and dedication, passed away peacefully in her South Bend home on the morning of Monday, December 30, 2024, at 9:08 am. Born on August 2, 1936, in South Bend, to the late Louis and Helen (Seach) Baumgartner, Alice's life was a testament to her enduring spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
Alice's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family and her career. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Norman McEllen, who passed away in 1971, and her brother, John Baumgartner. Love found Alice again, and she married Bernard Doll on October 12, 1974, with whom she shared many cherished years. She is survived by her devoted husband, Bernard, and her sister, Helen Duich, who mourn the loss of a remarkable woman.
Professionally, Alice dedicated 18 years of service as a Lab Technician at Allied Signal Corp, where she retired in 1992.
In keeping with Alice's wishes, there will be no services. Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Alice will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery.
Alice M. Doll's story does not end with her passing but continues in the hearts of those she touched. Her love remains a guiding light, and her spirit, a gentle reminder of the compassion and warmth that defined her. As we bid farewell to Alice, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that will forever be remembered with affection.
