Alice May Duplantis Elliot

 

Alice May Duplantis Elliot, 81, a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Thibodaux, LA; passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023. 

Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and continue at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, LA on Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 9:00am until service time.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow Thursday visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin for 11:00am with burial in the church cemetery.

Alice is survived by her loving family; her children, Kevin Elliot and wife Lemora, Kari Carter and husband John, Robert Elliot, Denise Burke and husband Paul, Enola Elliot and Eric Parfait; siblings, Joyce Matherne, Wayne Duplantis and wife Gloria, Elaine Labit; fifteen loving grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Alice is survived by Georges siblings, Karen Meche and husband Harris; Kieth and wife Rhonda Elliot, Shirley “Missy” Gamble and husband Gary.

Alice is preceded in passing by her husband, George Elliot; parents, Emery Joseph and Valarie Dubois Duplantis; siblings, Harriet Pellegrin, Donald Duplantis and Emery Duplantis Jr.; In-laws on George’s side of the family are, Norval Sr. and Shirley Elliot, Norval Jr. and Darrell Elliot.

Alice’s children, grandchildren and family were the world to her and she spent as much time as possible with them. She also loved to travel on “the road trips” with Joyce and Elaine.

Alice will be dearly missed by her many family and friends; always remembered and never forgotten by the many who loved her dearly.
