She was born on July 17, 1947 in St. Louis, MO to Marvin and Ida (Williams) Chambers.
Alice married Paul Ernst in St. Louis, MO on February 12, 1971.
Alice was a data entry clerk for several businesses including St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis county.
Alice is survived by her husband; 2 daughters: Jennifer (Bret) Fox of Granite City, IL and Angela Ernst of House Springs, MO; 7 grandchildren: Desiree, Dakota, Brandon, Katie, Sara, Drew and Trevor; 9 great grandchildren: Kayleigh, Caiden, Lily, Loghan, Carter, Avarie, Luke, Brayden and Emory and 4 sisters: Pearl Kimbrough, Helen Hilsman, Lois Eckrich and Terry Glaser.
Besides her parents, Alice is preceded in death by 3 brothers: Claude Chambers, Rufus Chambers and Kenneth Chambers and a sister, Dorothy Bono.
Professional services entrusted to the care of Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the Good News Community Church in Festus, MO. Burial will be at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2023 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
