Ms. Alice L. Hammock, 71, of West Point, passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, at Bethany House Hospice in Auburn, AL.
Ms. Hammock was born July 18, 1954, in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Hulet Curtis Hammock and Ida Lou Pitts Hammock. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she was employed as a secretary for many years prior to her retirement. She loved her dogs Duchess and Bella, enjoyed listening to gospel music, and enjoyed watching westerns and wrestling on television. However, the focus of her life was her love for her children, grandchildren, and family members.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickie Royal (Charley) of Prattville, AL; sons, Adam Singleton of West Point and Brian Singleton (Kelli) of Opelika, AL; grandchildren, Brandon McCain (Bree), Victoria Goodin (Adam), Hunner Royal, Taylor Royal, Travis Stone (Christy), Brooklyn Elder (Andrew), Austin Stone (Karter), Brian Singleton, Jr., Austin Singleton, Jacob Singleton, Emily Singleton; great-grandchildren, Kinsley Rae, Caroline, Kash, Jade, Isaac, Colton; her brother, Henry Hammock (Julie) of Greenville; many extended family members and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Michael Moore.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, July 24, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville, with the Reverend Jimmy McMillian officiating. Private interment will be in the Mountville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, prior to the service.
