Alice June Hines, long-time resident of Dimondale, MI, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, at the age of 97. She was born on September 3, 1926, in Lansing, MI.
Her family was her pride and joy, which was most evident in her love for babysitting her grand and great children. She took immense joy in being a part of their lives. She leaves behind a beautiful tapestry of lives she touched: her daughters, Linda Potts and Jean (Don) Joseph; her grandchildren, Debra (Doug) Bowen, Lisa (Fred) Bannister, Lori (Mark) Burgess, Scott (Stacy) Joseph, Jodi (Kevin) Anthony, Mark (Katey) Joseph, Lydia Hines, and Peggy Hines; along with 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchild who will all carry the essence of her spirit into the future.
June was preceded in death by her parents Norman Taggart and Larue (Taggart) Boyer, her beloved husband Clinton, her son Ken (Julie) Hines, and her son-in-law Frank Potts. Each of these departures marked a chapter in her life, but her resilience and love never wavered.
She resided at the Dimondale Nursing and Rehab Center for the last six years. The family wants to thank the staff for their loving care. In Lieu of flowers please make donations in loving memory of June Hines to the Life Enrichment Program, as June enjoyed the activities and gifts they provided.
A Graveside Service will take place at Dimondale Cemetery on Friday, March 22, 2024 1:00 p.m. The family has entrusted arrangements to Mills Funeral Home, Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge.
