Alice Holcombe

Alice Leona Holcombe of Covington, Louisiana, passed away on August 7, 2024 at the age of 89. 

She was born on November 17, 1934 to the late John Willie and Angie Carlisle Willie in Folsom, Louisiana. 

She leaves behind to cherish her loving memories, her children Walter Riley “Buddy” Holcombe, Charles Louis Holcombe, Alice Irene Fleitas, Grady Lee Fleitas, Clara Beth Poche (Bradley), Anthony Pete “Tony” Holcombe (Penelope), her beloved 31 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. 

Alice is preceded in death by her parents John and Angie Willie, her husband Walter Riley Holcombe, her children Loretta Ann Holcombe, John Robert Fleitas, Charles Arthur Fleitas, Billy Ray Fleitas, Louelle Raney, Mary Jane Crawford and daughter-in-law Janice Holcombe, as well as her siblings; Averis Cook, Cassan Passman, Anna Mae Kennedy, Ernest Willie, John Avery Willie “A.J.”, Mae Mooney, Eddie Julius Willie and Mildred Hano.

She loved her family, cooking, making quilts, having everyone over for coffee and going to church. 

She showed love and kindness to all, never met a stranger. To know her is (will always be) to love her.

 Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. at Collins Boulevard Baptist Church 1501 N. Collins Boulevard, Covington, Louisiana 70433. Burial to follow in the Willie Cemetery in Folsom, Louisiana.
