Alice Ishak Lahdu, 74, passed away March 31, 2023.
Born August 15, 1948 in Iraq, she was the daughter of Ishak and Asmar Mami.
Alice was a beloved kind mother with a big heart, who always loved to help others.
She was very faithful and was known for her piety.
She survived by her daughters Sarah, Suzan and Sylvia, her sons Sargon and Simon, her son in laws Dali, Sami and Bassam, her daughter in law Maria, and 16 grandchildren, her brothers Joseph, Mike, Andrios, Macarios and George.
Please come and join the family for the funeral service for a beautiful mother Alice Lahdu on Thursday April 6th.
The church is St. George Romanian orthodox Cathedral

9:00am viewing 10:00am service
Cemetery is Holy Sepulcher
Luncheon at Farmington Hills Manor

Mrs. Alice Lahdu blessed me with two children by anointing me with oil from the icon of the Virgin Mary that wept myrrh. I´ve been searching for her as she wanted me to share the miracle she helped facilitate through divine intervention. I met her daughter, Susan, while working at a Montessori school. I had lost my first pregnancy and fell ill with a rare disease. Susan told me of her mother and the miracles she had precipitated. I went to her home and she spoke in Arabic and annointed me with the oil. She felt I would conceive soon. Indeed I did and we weee blessed with a baby girl. When she gave me the oil to take home, she instructed me to pray to the Virgin Mary each night. The oil multiplied before our eyes. After narrowly escaping death during childbirth, I visited her again and she again announced me. We were blessed with a son. I am forever grateful for the miracle she so freely shared.
