Haverhill, MA: Alice L. (Dandurant) Lucier, 93, a native and lifelong resident of the City of Haverhill, died Friday, December 16, 2011, at Penacook Place. Daughter of the late John and Annie (Driscoll) Dandurant, she attended Haverhill Public Schools and was a member of Saint James Parish and the former Saint Joseph Parish. She was employed in the local shoe industry and also in local hat factories and retired from the former Mal’s Department Store of Haverhill as a cosmetics sales clerk. An avid reader, Mrs. Lucier most enjoyed being a housewife and homemaker and was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The wife of the late Walter A. Lucier and grandmother of the late Chad Lucier, she is survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathleen A. Lucier of Haverhill, Barbara J. and David LaMothe of  Atkinson, NH, Anne M. and Dean Sotirakopoulos of Sandown NH, and Susan A. Lucier of Haverhill, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert J. and Maria Lucier of New Port Richey, Florida, and John R. Lucier of Maine, a brother, Arnold Dandurant of Hampstead, NH, and  a sister, Elsie David of Haverhill, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, December 20, 2011, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in all Saints Church, Bellevue Avenue, Haverhill and burial will take place in Saint JamesCemetery. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Tree of Dreams, c/o Penacook Place, 150 Water St., Haverhill, MA01830.
