Alice E. Luck

Luck, Alice E., of Hanover, Va., passed away August 8th, 2025, at Lakewood Retirement Community. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virginia Gibson; her husband Berkley A. Luck "Junior", three brothers, James, Charles and Dennis Gibson, son in law, Ronald Steele and a special nephew, Waverly Isbell. Alice leaves behind, her children, Alice Marie Steele and Wayne Luck (Dorothy) and her surviving sister, Jean Isbell; and four grandchildren, Will Luck, Julianne Alvarenga-Luck (Andrew), Rita Free (Wayne), Rhonda Steele; and five great-grandchildren, Aidan, Gabe, Zak Booth, Jaxson and Presley Free and her loyal companion, Sassy. She worked over 30 years at A.H. Robins Pharmaceutical and was commended for her commitment and work ethic as well as her generosity to the United Way. Alice loved spending time and vacations with family and friends, flowers and hummingbirds.

The family will receive friends and family from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday August 13, 2025, at Bliley's funeral home, 8510 Staples Mill Road, Va. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Methodist Church in Montpelier, Va., will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August 14th. Interment in church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to St. Peter's UMC.
