Alice McClellan Obituary
A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mrs. McClellan was born on October 12, 1940. She attended Redeemer Episcopal Church. Alice was an independent woman of strong spirit and loved her two boys and family. All who knew her will dearly miss her.
Mrs. McClellan was a daughter of the late Herbert Carter and Minnie Clontz Carter. She was also preceded in death by her sons: Charles "Charlie" McClellan, and Joseph Lee Carter; and all eleven of her siblings: Jesse Carter, James "Cricket" Carter, Edward Carter, Carl Carter, Clyde Carter, Josephine Carter, Daisy Carter, Betty Carter, Betsy Carter, Jeter Pritchard "JP" Carter, and Irene Carter.
Surviving are her daughter-in-law, Faye Lee, and hundreds of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
