Alice Rosalie Menefee was called home on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the age of 87. She was born on July 19, 1938, in Texas City, Texas, where she spent her entire life raising her family and working for Texas-New Mexico Power Company.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jimmy Charles Menefee. She is survived by her sons, Randy Menefee and his wife, Kim, of Pflugerville, Texas, and Rusty Menefee and his wife, Tricia, of Owasso, Oklahoma; her grandchildren, Haley Menefee, Caleb Menefee, Mason Menefee and his wife, Kenzie, and Madison Menefee; her great-grandchild, Atticus Cortez; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosalie loved life and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devout Baptist and a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Texas City since 1950. She was active in numerous friend groups and especially enjoyed playing Pokino and other card games with her friends.
Rosalie was a survivor of the Texas City Disaster and carried both physical and emotional scars from that day. She loved to cook, and her cakes and pies were always welcome at family gatherings and special occasions. Rosalie also loved to travel and stay on the go, frequently taking trips with her friends and her niece, Diane Thomas.
Visitation will be held at Emken Linton Funeral Home in Texas City, Texas, on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place at Emken Linton on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Hayes Grace Memorial Park in Santa Fe, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Caleb Menefee, Mason Menefee, Charlie Thomas, Phillip Thomas, Ryan Hilton, and Jason Clement.
