Mrs. Alice (Spucosky) Ohl

Alice (Spucosky) Ohl, 89, of Tamaqua, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2025, in the St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale. She was a proud, lifelong resident of Dutch Hill.

Born in Mahanoy City, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Constance (Cominski) Spucosky.

Alice was also predeceased by her beloved husband of 48 years, Earl F. Ohl Sr., who died on June 25, 2005; and sisters, Eleanor Daley and Lillian Laughlin.

Alice was a 1954 graduate of Tamaqua High School and worked as a home health aide at the former Rest Haven Nursing Home of Schuylkill Haven, and later with Independent Living Services, Tamaqua.

Alice was a member of St. John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, Tamaqua.

She volunteered working at the election polls in the Dutch Hill section of Tamaqua for many years.

Alice enjoyed playing bingo and the lottery; however, she looked forward to the nice weather and sitting on her front porch with family and friends.

Surviving are four Earl A. Ohl, and his wife, Lisa, Mark R. Ohl, and his wife, Pam, Michael S. Ohl and Matthew J. Ohl; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all those who loved her.

Service: Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 655 E. Broad St., Tamaqua. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, from the funeral home. Interment, SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Owl Creek, Tamaqua.
