Alice A. Orsulak, 87 of Pompton Plains, N.J. formerly of Cedar Grove, N.J. passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022. Born in Newark and raised in Belleville, N.J., she was a resident of Cedar Grove for many years prior to settling in Pompton Plains in July 2022. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena RC Church in Cedar Grove. An active member of her community, she was a member of the Bloomfield College Alumni Association, Presbyterian Alumni Association, and the Cedar Grove Seniors. Alice was also very involved with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Scout Den Mother. Amongst many other friends near and far, she had a very special group of friends in Cedar Grove that she enjoyed socializing with and playing bridge on a weekly basis.
Prior to retiring, she was a Registered Nurse with the City of Newark and most recently for Dr. Harvey Silver in West Orange, N.J. for 22 years.
Beloved wife of the late Stephen V. Orsulak. Loving and devoted mother of Michael Orsulak and wife Suzanne, Suzanne Drake and husband Michael and Greg Orsulak and partner Lauren Barton. Cherished grandmother of Brittney Simpson and husband Jared, Victoria Orsulak and partner Alex MacMillan and Nicholas Drake. Adored great grandmother of Ryann and Brody. Dear sister of James Adamiak, Betty Dinne and the late Pauline Bullwinkel and Stanley Adamiak.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, December 15, 2022, from 4 – 8 p.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, N.J. A Funeral Mass is planned for Friday, December 16, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena RC Church, 339 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, N.J. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, N.J. Memories and condolences may kindly be shared at shookscedargrove.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Alice may be made to Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org. or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
