Alice Marie Ramsey

Alice Marie Ramsey, 60, of Sutton, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born on April 4, 1965, in Tampa, Florida to Stella Marie Ramsey Starcher.

Alice was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved reading and cooking as pastimes. She read her bible and liked to go to church with her mom. Alice loved picking flowers and collecting unusual rocks on her walks with her companion, John. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Left to cherish her memories are companion of 19 years, John Benedict; children, Alicia Wyant, Mattie Ramsey, and Bryan Wyant; grandchildren, Harley Talbert, Ruby Claypool, Ruth Ramsey; mother, Stella Marie Ramsey Starcher; brother, Kenneth "Wayne" Ramsey and wife, Tammy, and sister, Ressa Claypool and husband, Mike; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be 1 P.M. Sunday, January 4, 2025, at Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV with Pastor James Bonner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hyer-Chapman Cemetery, Obrion.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Roach Funeral Home, 708 Braxton Street, Gassaway, WV 26624 to assist with funeral expenses.
