Alice Riggs

November 23, 1934 – November 2, 2025

Alice Riggs, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, in Manteca, CA, at the age of 90. Born in Haywood, Manitoba, Canada, to parents, Andrew and Josephine Morisseau. Alice spent over 30 years as a resident of New Mexico, where she created a warm and welcoming home.

Alice was married to her high school sweetheart, Donald Riggs, for 67 years until his passing in 2020. Their marriage, which began on September 2, 1953, was filled with love, adventure, and companionship. Together, they traveled extensively, visiting Alaska four times, and enjoyed fishing, camping, and the beauty of nature. Alice had a wonderful sense of humor and a deep love for flowers and hummingbirds. She was known for her daily 5 p.m. wine ritual, always bringing joy to those around her.

Alice is survived by her children, Audrey (Kevin) Saxton of Manteca, California, and Heather Riggs of Silver City, New Mexico. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Glen, Staci, Dustin, Tyler, and Blake, and her great-grandchildren: Bryan, Garrett, and Dustin.

She was preceded in death by her children, Barry and Bonnie Riggs, as well as her siblings: Andrew, Peter, Romeo, Lyla, Claudette, Jeanne, Theresa, and Madeline.

At this time, there will be no services. Alice's family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life in their own special way.
