Alice J. Roberts, 74, of Fredericksburg VA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was born on July 6, 1950, in Hominy, OK. She was the eldest of four children.
Alice grew up in Lincoln, NE, before moving to Richmond, VA, where she spent most of her career. In 2013, she relocated to the Fredericksburg area to be closer to her family and quickly made it her home. She attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and later graduated from ECPI Technical College with a degree in Network Administration and Office Technology in Richmond, VA. Throughout her career, she worked in numerous supporting roles, always dedicated to helping others with kindness and efficiency. In her final position, she served as a Concierge at Morningside House in Fredericksburg, where she brought warmth and joy to residents and staff alike.
Alice had a deep love for travel and enjoyed sharing those adventures with family and friends. A devoted Nebraska football fan, she often traveled to see games and cheered for her team with unwavering enthusiasm. She was also a talented and creative soul, expressing herself through crafting, jewelry-making, and photography-capturing cherished memories of her loved ones and the beauty around her.
She attended Lifepoint Church in Fredericksburg, where she volunteered with their photography team until the COVID-19 pandemic prevented her from attending in person. She remained faithful, continuing to watch their online services each week.
Alice was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her siblings, Brock O. Peters (Christine) of Lincoln, NE, and Terri G. Peters Sorensen (Christopher) of
Fredericksburg, VA; her brother-in-law, Ronald E. Davis of
Fredericksburg, VA; and her nieces and nephews, Mallory Sorensen Snyder (Ryan), Benjamin Sorensen (Sigourney), and Nicholas Davis, all of
Fredericksburg, VA, Cara Peters Simon (Daniel) of Mead, NE, and Bailee Peters Wellman (Tyler) of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.O. Peters and Betty J. Peters of Lincoln, NE; her sister, Cathy Peters Davis of
Fredericksburg, VA; and her son, Timothy L. Roberts of Lincoln, NE.
Alice is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior, reunited with her family in heaven. We will truly miss her smile and creative spirit.
Interment will take place at a later date in Lincoln, NE.
