ALICE E. ROKOP Born: January 27, 1919; in Shelby, Ind. Died: March 11, 2014; in Barrington Alice E. Rokop, 95, of The Fountains of Crystal Lake passed away March 11, 2014 at Alden Estates of Barrington. She was born January 27, 1919 in Shelby, Indiana to Edgar and Catherine (Tyler) Van Vleet. On June 1, 1946 she married Julius Rokop in Aurora. Alice spent most of her life in Hinckley. She then moved to Florida where she resided for 30 years. While there she perfected the Sanibel stoop while searching for the perfect seashell. She also enjoyed spending time with her great-grandkids. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (Jerry) Rice; her grandchildren, Sharon (Steve) Snow, Laura (Paul) Valaitis, and Janet (Andrew) Vance; great-grandchildren, Anna & Claire Snow, Julia, Amelia, and William Valaitis, and Madeline Vance; her sister, Jane Berry; and nieces and nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sister, Berneice Corey; and her brother, George Van Vleet. Services will be private.
