Alice Faye (Lewis) Smith, age 74, of Cleburne passed away Friday, January 9, 2026. No services are scheduled at this time.
She was born December 2, 1951, in Cleburne, Johnson County, Texas to William Russell Lewis and Eva Mae Veal Lewis, both of whom predeceased her in death. The people who knew Alice knew she had a spit-fire personality and the most precious things in life to Alice revolved around her family. What made her the happiest was knowing her loved ones were living life and happy. She had a big heart, the door was
always revolving of different children she took in, raised and treated them as if they were her own. Alice had a natural talent for art, crafts, sewing; she had a vision of being able to make anything beautiful. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Alice is survived by Darrell Smith, husband of 51 years; children: Donna Downing, Chris Smith and Michelle Reh; grandchildren: Bailey, Brant, Colten, Parker, Dawn, Preston and Peyton; great-grandchildren: Ava, Peyton, Rhett, Presley, Cohen; siblings: William "Bud" Lewis and Tommy "Rocky" Lewis; in-laws: Cheri Smith, DeAnne Perkins, Tina Parnell, Ted Smith, and Sharon Lewis and many other family members and friends.
