Alice A. Toss

Alice Aileen Kangas Toss of Rochester Hills; entered eternal life on November 21, 2025; age 86; She was born on July 5, 1939 in Calumet, Michigan to Eino and Helia Mattson Kangas. She attended the local schools and graduated from Roy Oak Dondero High School in 1957. She later attended the Pontiac Business Institute to study in the medical field. She was united in marriage to John Frank Toss on March 22, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio. Alice was very proud of her Finnish heritage and loved all things Finnish, including cooking and baking Finnish recipes, and traveling to Finland. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, music and polka dancing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was proud of her long career as a Medical and Radiology Transcriptionist, working in hospitals in Michigan and Nevada. She was a member of the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Auburn Hills. She was preceded in death by her husband John on February 5, 1967, her parents, and siblings. She is survived by her two children Jon Michael Toss and Sandra Kay Webb; four grandchildren, Serena, Samantha, Daniel and Ryan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends. A celebration of her lift will be held at a later date.
