Alice Faye Traylor

In everything that she would want said about her life the last five years would be the most important. In August of 2020 my mom was diagnosed with a rare aggressive cancer. It was anaplastic thyroid cancer. She was given 4-6 weeks to live. We returned home and didn't panic. We didn't fall apart. In a way we seemed to have a peace. We had no idea what our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was about to do. Not only did He open the door to treatment but He added nearly 5 years to her life. This is practically unheard of with people who have this type of cancer. For this and so much more we give glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Funeral services for Alice Faye Traylor are scheduled for 11 AM Friday, June 20, 2025 at Clark Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Kyle Bryan officiating. Private interment will follow in Bartholomew Cemetery, Bastrop, LA. A time of visitation will be held Friday from 10 AM - 11 AM prior to service time at the church under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Traylor, a teacher at N.E. Baptist School, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the age of Eighty-seven. She was a member of Rowland Road Baptist Church, but was attending Cornerstone Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Gaylynn Bryan and husband Kyle; and grandson, Caleb Bryan.
Mrs. Traylor is preceded in death by parents, Dorothy and P.S. McKaskle; Aunt Marie and Uncle Bill Morrison, Uncle CC and Aunt Joyce Milstead, Uncle Warren and Aunt Hope Milstead, and Uncle Tommy and Aunt Ollie Dean Milstead.
