Alice Waters

Alice (Dail) Waters Washington - Alice Dail Waters, 72, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 AM at the Tranter's Creek Church of Christ, 7108 Cherry Run Rd, Washington, NC 27889. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.

Alice grew up in the Ayden community of Pitt County and graduated from Ayden-Grifton High School. In 1979, she went to work with Stanadyne in Washington as part of the original crew hired. She worked there as a Quality Control Engineering Technician for 40 years until her retirement. Alice enjoyed her work and loved her coworkers, who were family to her. She has been a member of Tranter's Creek Church of Christ for many years and enjoyed fundraising and supporting missionaries. She looked forward to weekly line dancing with the Shimmy Shakers and performances at festivals across the state. Most importantly, Alice was devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a giving nature and always took care of anyone in need.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Doris Dail; and sister, Virginia Clark.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Danny Waters; daughters, Cindy Parrish and husband, Danny, and Angela Price and husband, Cade; son, Joshua Waters and wife, Meagan; grandchildren, Amber (Chris), Tiffany, Sierra (Ray), Chasity (Hunter), Brock (Bec), Talon (Makenzie), Joel, Kameron, and Eleas; great-grandchildren, Jaelynn, Skylar, Lainey, Jett, Eryn, Easton, Bennet, Calvin, Everly, Ellis, Khori, Damian, Henley, Gideon, Haley, and Carter; brother, Kenneth Dail; and beloved niece, Denise Haddock and husband, Brian.
