Alice Watkins Obituary

Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Dempsey Watkins, her parents Robert Adair and Hazel Harry and her brother Robert Harry, Jr. And, it also should be said by countless beloved pets she both owned and cared for as a pet sitter.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Peggy, Randy and Bryan Watkins.
Alice had two great passions: ballroom dancing and animals.
Alice developed a joy for dancing when attending USO dances for the military during World War II. Later in life she took up ballroom dancing and excelled at it. She went on to compete, winning several competitions.
She loved all animals and would go to great lengths to make sure all were well cared for. During her life, Alice always had at least one pet, but usually more. She also treated many of her pet sitting animal clients as her own. She loved them all and they were lucky to have her.
She will be greatly missed by her family and all her many friends.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her memory to the Virginia Beach SPCA.
A graveside service will be held at Rosewood Memorial Park, Friday, April 4 at 2PM.
