Alice Williamson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home - Denham Springs on Jan. 24, 2026.
Alice, age 80, joined her son in Heaven on Friday, January 23, 2026. She was a resident of Denham Springs, LA and a member of Memorial Chapel Church of God. Alice was strong, independent, and tough as nails. She meant business and didn't pretend otherwise. You always knew where you stood with her, and she wouldn't have had it any other way. Alice loved fishing and could spend hours with a line in the water, perfectly content. She was famous for canning tomatoes, stocking shelves and feeding her family the way she always had, by working hard and doing things herself. Alice sewed clothing for many years, and when that slowed down, it turned into quilting. Those quilts were made with patience, skill, and a whole lot of love. Family meant everything to her. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and anyone who knew her knew just how much they mattered to her. Alice lived life on her own terms, strong, capable, and devoted to the people she loved. She leaves behind a family who will miss her greatly and remember her always.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Williamson Sr.; daughters, Nadine Black (Rusty), Susan Doolittle (Charles); son, Scott Williamson (Maria); daughter-in-law, Jackie Williamson; brothers, Sam Aiton (Terrall), William Aiton (Kim), Autie Aiton (Toni); grandchildren, Spencer Black (Kristen), Amber Bartlett (Michael), Robert Williamson, Danielle Gonzales (Christian), Mark Doolittle, Loxley Doolittle, Cielo Pastrana, Bailey Baker; and great-granddaughter, Penelope Bryant.

Alice is preceded in death by her son, Michael Williamson; parents, James Aiton and Martha Baust; and brothers, Mack Aiton and James Aiton.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 7738 Florida Blvd. Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Loranger at 3:00 p.m.
