Deanna "Karon" Mann

Deanna Karon Mann, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. She was known by family and friends as Karon, Kaye, Mom, and Nana. She was a devoted member of the Denham Springs First Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where her faith, compassion, and loving spirit touched many lives. Karon had a deep love for cooking and took great joy in sharing meals, stories, and teaching moments with those around her. She delighted in passing along her knowledge, whether through family traditions, quiet wisdom, or simple acts of service. Learning and teaching were woven into who she was, and she had a gift for making others feel valued and understood. Above all, Karon put her family first. She was compassionate and loving. She had a remarkable ability to welcome, love, and accept everyone just as they were, offering warmth, encouragement, and a true sense of belonging. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she cherished, the lessons she shared, and the many hearts she touched through her unwavering love.

Karon is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Mann, Regina Brumfield, and Renae Murray (Kerry); son, Rodney Mann (Christie); daughter-in-law, Angie Bigler (Leon); grandchildren, Austin, Anna (Cameron), Aidon, Ava, Landon (Maddie), Logan (Halle), Xzavier, Larson, Lauren, Ashleigh (Ammon), Brianna (Kyle), Quinton (Gentry), Emilie, Kori (Taylor), Emili, Connor (Brisa), Nick, Tyler (Kayla), Hunter (Morgan), and Bryson (Amberleigh); and great-grandchildren, Everleigh, Channing, Calvin, Avery, Lily, Evelyn, Asher, Brooklyn, Avrey, Gemma, James, Millie, Martha, Graham, Vandy, Alice, Bosco, Adam, Rose, Sage, Navi, James, Cayden, Wyatt, Grey Lyn, Wrenley, Ellie, and Russell.

Karon is preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 58 wonderful years, Carl Edgar Mann; son, Richard Mann; and parents, Vernon Wilson Cook Sr. and Ramah Austin Cook.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home 7738 Florida Blvd. Denham Springs, LA 70726, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Danny King will officiate with interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
