Alice Young Obituary
September 14, 1938 - August 7, 2025
Grain Valley, Missouri - Alice Jo Young, 86, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025. Born September 14, 1938 in Horton, Kansas, she spent most of her life in Grain Valley, MO where she graduated high school in 1956. She married her beloved husband, Billy Richard Young, on June 29, 1957. Together they raised three children: Patricia Jo Young (Huan), Kimberly Loraine Ames (John), and William Alexander Young (Nicole), and were blessed with four grandchildren-Kelsey MacKenzie Murray (Austin), Kaitlyn Nicole Ames, Hannah Elizabeth Young, and Matthew Alexander Young with her first Great Grandbaby on the way (Murray).
Alice worked for many years at Fox Photo/CPI, later for Curves and Costco. She loved traveling, especially to casinos across the U.S., and was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan. Known for her open heart and welcoming home, she made everyone feel like family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, and brothers Jerry and Gary. Alice will be dearly missed by her children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, at Royer Funeral Home, 100 Royer Lane, Grain Valley, MO. Visitation will be from 1:00–2:00 p.m., with services immediately following at 2:00 p.m., led by Reverend Roger Horne.

I worked with Alice doing demos for Costco. One of the nicest ladies I have ever known.always had a positive outlook on life and sweet personality. I will miss her wisdom and smile.
