It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Alicia A. Morgan on March 26, 2026. Alicia, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, departed this world at the age of 88, embraced by the warmth of her family in the home of her daughter. Her final moments were graced by the laughter of her two great-grandchildren playing nearby, a serene testament to a life devoted to family and love. Her last breath was at 6:56 pm, and the song playing was , “I’ll Fly Away.”

Alicia was born on November 15, 1937, in the vibrant city of San Luis Potosi, SLP, Mexico, to Florencio Amaro and Isabel Gutirrez. From a young age, she exhibited an artistic flair that would later blossom into a lifelong passion for painting, capturing the beauty and depth of the world around her through her art.

In 1960, Alicia married, the late, Billye G. Morgan. She is survived by her daughter Karen Y. Morgan Booher, spouse Daniel Booher, Grandson Dylan Morgan, spouse Shady Morgan, two great-grandchildren Violet and Nova Morgan, and nephew Ray Packer.

A devoted mother to her daughter, Karen Y. Morgan Booher, and a cherished grandmother to Dylan Morgan, Alicia’s love knew no bounds. She took immense joy in the lives of her grandchild and great-grandchildren, Violet and Nova Morgan, each moment spent with them a treasured memory. Alicia’s legacy is carried forward by her family, who were the recipients of her boundless affection and wisdom.

Alicia was predeceased by her parents Florencio Amaro and Isabel Gutirrez Amoro, her husband Billye G. Morgan, her siblings, Agripina Wall, Juanis Amaro, Raquel Packer, Francisca Amaro, and Amalia Montelongo, with whom she shared a deep familial bond. Her life was also enriched by a host of dear friends who were fortunate to have known her kind and generous spirit.

Alicia’s professional life was marked by her role as a secretary at a sawmill, where she was known for her diligence and dedication. Her colleagues and friends were often the beneficiaries of her thoughtful nature and willingness to lend a helping hand.

A celebration of Alicia’s remarkable life will be held on April 4, 2026, at 9:30 AM, at LaGrone Funeral Chapel, located a 900 S. Main St., Roswell, NM 88203. It will be a moment for friends and family to reflect on the profound impact Alicia had on all who knew her.
