Alicia L. Rodriguez, a woman of unwavering faith, was called into the Lord's arms on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the blessed age of 89. Born in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, on June 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Anselmo and Ramona Lopez. Alicia's life was defined by her dedication to God, her family, and her community.
Alicia was a devout parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church since the early 1960's, participated in the Cursillista movement, and was a member of La Cruz de Apostolado. She was always ready to pray for anyone who requested it, and dedicated a significant part of each day to praying for others. Her unwavering faith and love for the Lord were an inspiration to all who knew her.
Alicia was a faithful woman who led others by example. She showed everyone unconditional love without judgment and handed her burdens to God, as we all should. Her happy soul, infectious laugh and smile lifted people's spirits. She was a beacon of hope and light in times of darkness.
Alicia was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her children, Gloria R. Trevino (Alfonso Trevino III), Patricia R. Garcia (Martin Garcia), and Antonio L. Rodriguez (Leticia Rodriguez); 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply and who will miss her dearly.
Alicia is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, Anselmo and Ramona Lopez, her brother, Demetrio Lopez, her loving spouse of 33 years, Antonio O. Rodriguez, and her son, Manuel V. Rodriguez. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of faith, hope, and love will continue to inspire.
As we say goodbye to Alicia, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, basking in the eternal love of God. We can imagine the joy on her face as she reunites with her loved ones who have gone before her, and we know that she is finally experiencing the paradise she so richly deserves.
Visitation will take place on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass celebrating Alicia's life will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. All Services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church; 2610 Perez St, San Antonio, TX 78207.
In lieu of flowers, her family would like to ask you to consider making a donation to Alicia's beloved parish, Christ the King Catholic Church:
