Alisa Jean Melander, 55, of Checotah, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, July 7, 2025 in Muskogee, Oklahoma surrounded by family. She was born in Pensacola, Florida on October 9, 1969. As the daughter of a military father, Alisa spent her young life in various places which included Pensacola, Florida., Yokosuka, Japan., Alameda, California and Port Ochard, Washington.
Previously married to Dean Alameda, she had one daughter, Danielle Melander in 2006. As a stay at home mom she worked remotely at home with Information Providers, INC. for additional income where she remained employed until present, a total of nineteen years. Alisa and her daughter moved to Carrollton,Texas in 2014 and then to Checotah, Oklahoma in 2022. With a cheerful and outgoing personality, Alisa always kept up to date with High School friends and those she met in her life. She always stayed positive and loved life.
Alisa is survived by her father Jerry Rice of Checotah, her sister Sonya Rice of Sterling Heights, Michigan. One daughter; Danielle Melander of Aurora, Colorado.
Alisa is preceded in death by her mother, Masae Ochi Rice.
