Allan Ray Shelton

Funeral services for Allan Ray Shelton, age 52 of Olla, LA, will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from  the sanctuary of Olla Pentecostal Church with Bro. Jimmy Rowland and Bro. Rodney George officiating. Interment will follow in the Chickasaw  Cemetery under direction of Riser & Son Funeral Home of Olla. Visitation will be on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the church from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Allan Ray Shelton was born on August 3, 1973, at Pineville, Louisiana, to the union of his beloved parents, Ronnie Gleen Shelton and Theresa Diane Johnson. He passed from this life on September 27, 2025, at the Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria following an extended illness. Allan Ray was preceded in death by his parents; by his first wife, Christy Shelton; his grandparents: Alton and Helen Johnson and Addie Belle and JR Shelton; his Nanny, Robbin Johnson; aunt, Pam Johnson; and his uncle, Lamar "Marty" Johnson.

Allan was first and foremost a family man. However, before family came his relationship with Jesus Christ to whom he was always faithful. He shared his faith with his brothers and sisters at Pleasant Grove Church of God and with everyone he met. As mentioned before, family was at the very core of his being. His grandchildren were a great light in his life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories is his wife, Renee Spruell Shelton; four daughters: Chelsey Shelton and fiance' Rory Scoman, Bekka Shelton, Kaitlin Shelton and Hope Langley; his son, Jesse Langley; adopted daughter, Tonya Sumrall (JW); his sister, Melissa Carter; his brother, Gleen Shelton (Ramona); three grandchildren: Christopher "Turtle" League, Dominick League and Gwen League. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Shelton, Brian Shelton, Shane Blake, Tyler Blake, A. C. Carter,  J.W. Sumrall, and Kenneth Shelton. Honorary pallbearers include Joshua Shelton, Austin Shelton and William Gable.
