Allen Bienstock Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels on Dec. 10, 2025.
EAST WINDSOR – ALLEN ROY BIENSTOCK passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Hospital of Pennsylvania University in Philadelphia, PA. He was 78 years old
Born in New York City, NY, to Murray and Hilda (née Mann) Bienstock, he grew up in Franklin Township, NJ, and resided in Old Bridge for 30 years, before relocating to East Windsor 20 years ago.
Allen was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Prairie AD 15 during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1970.
Prior to retiring in 2011, he was a cost accountant for Karnak in Clark, NJ for 10 years. Prior to that, he also worked for Facile Holdings in Paterson, NJ as well as Harris Structural Steel in South Plainfield, NJ.
Allen was the definition of a true family man, always putting the people he loved at the center of everything he did. He had a large extended family, and every single person was equally important to him, and he made sure they felt valued and loved. He took enormous pride in his grandchildren's achievements-whether they lost a tooth or won a championship, he celebrated each moment. He was always the one to tell the first joke at a party, setting the tone with his humor and warmth. He loved his collection of knives, unique liquor bottles, and was a true car aficionado. And you could always count on him to be watching sports, especially cheering on the Jets, the Mets, and Rutgers teams he loyally supported through every high and low.
Allen is predeceased by his parents, Hilda and Murray Bienstock; his sister, Rochelle Mendelowitz; and his brother-in-law, Frank Kish.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Judith (née Siegel) Bienstock of East Windsor; his son, David Bienstock and his wife, Liz, of Hillsborough; his daughter, Sara Kurten and her husband, Chris, of Lawrenceville; his grandchildren, Madeleine, Nathan, and Emily Bienstock, Jacob and Amelia Kurten; his brother, Howard Bienstock and his wife, Barbara, of Old Bridge; his sister, Belle Kish of Middletown, his brother-in-law, Robert Mendelowitz of South Brunswick; and many deeply loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:45 am, at Washington Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Road, South Brunswick, NJ, under the direction of MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, East Brunswick, NJ. For directions, please view our "Events" listed below.
