Allen Paul Cantrell

Allen Paul Cantrell, 48, passed from this life on Monday, December 19, 2022. Allen was born September 24, 1974, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Nolan Oliver Cantrell and Joy Maelene (McBryde) Cantrell. He was an employee of TXDOT, and formerly worked as a lineman for Standard Utility Construction. Allen was fond of outdoor activities, because they gave him time to do his best deep thinking. He was skilled at cutting horses and enjoyed working on various projects - one such venture was restoring a vintage truck that belonged to his father. Allen valued spending time with his wife and children, especially his four grandchildren. They were the light of his life. Allen was confident that his family was held safely in God's loving hands. He was a member of Center Point Church of God in Weatherford, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Allen is survived by his beloved wife, Melonie Jan Cantrell of Weatherford, Texas; five children, Chris Cantrell of Weatherford, Texas, Canyon Cantrell of Weatherford, Texas, Wyatt Lehmann of New Braunfels, Texas, Kaycee Cantrell (Talbot Kirbie) of Weatherford, Texas, Hannah Lehmann of Milano, Texas; four grandchildren, Skyler, Grace, Everest, and Amelia; and sisters, Rebecca Jacobs (Mark Jacobs), Glynda Morgan (Frank Morgan), and Sharon Stanley, all of Weatherford, Texas.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Nolan and Joy Cantrell.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 North Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Lynn Creek Cemetery, in Jacksboro, Texas, for burial at 2:30 p.m.
