Allen Edward Duncan, 79, of Monetta, entered eternal rest after a valiant battle with diabetes. He was a son of the late Edward and Marion Cato Duncan. Allen was a member of St. John's Methodist Church, Batesburg, although attended Bethel Baptist Church faithfully with his beloved wife of 54 years, Judith Dancy Duncan. He was a loving husband and father. Allen lived his life as a happy, fun-loving person, who loved his family, animals and friends. His love of tractors and community service through organizations like the Saluda County Historical Society, and The American Legion, where he served as historian and many other duties, defined who Allen was as a family man and friend. Allen was also a member of the Army National Guard, and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Allen retired from Bell South after 25 years of service and moved to his farm in Monetta.
In addition to his wife, Judith, he is survived by his daughter, Amiee Dancy Duncan; sister, Connie Duncan Johnson of Charlotte, NC and her daughter, Elizabeth Dennis; and brother, Andy Duncan (Sydney) of Frostburg, Maryland. Allen is also survived by extended family members, brother-in-law, Allen Dancy (Kathy) of Monetta and his sons, Brad Dancy (Casie) and their children Savanah, Drake and Dallas; Chad and his children, Olivia and Scott; special cousins, Elaine Bradley, Kelly Hagens-Swart and Michael Swart, and their son, Duncan Swart (fiancé Kaitlin) and daughter, Brooklyn.
A memorial service for Allen will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 3rd at Bethel Baptist Church. The reverend Preston West will officiate.
The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to all the friends and church family at Bethel Baptist during this time. Memorial contributions may be made to PETSinc, P.O. Box 6394 West Columbia, SC 29169, in lieu of flowers.

It´s with a heavy heart about learning the Passing of Mr. Duncan, he was the greatest neighbor you could possibly have to say the least, he was always willing to help anyone, he was a great family man and loved and cared for his animals, he had this baby donkey that he held in his chair out in the yard and as the donkey grew bigger the donkey would try to sit on his lap when he had gotten in the few hundred pounds, He was loved so much in the community of Monetta, this is a huge loss! My thoughts and Prayers go out to him and family and friends! Rest In Peace my Brother!
