It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allen Ferris, a beloved father, a proud public servant, and a man of unwavering integrity, who passed away unexpectedly from medical complications on August 27, 2025 at the age of 58.
Allen served his country and community with courage and distinction. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he began his life of service in uniform, embodying duty and honor from a young age. Following his military service, he continued to protect and serve others as a decorated police officer, dedicating decades of his life to law enforcement. His commitment to justice, honor, and compassion earned him the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of those whose lives he touched.
Allen was formerly married to Desiree, with whom he raised their three children: Dakota (Aubrey), Skylar, and Ryan Ferris. Later in life, he found a loving and devoted partner in Toni, with whom he shared countless adventures.
Above all else, Allen was a devoted father. His greatest joy in life was being present for his sons, guiding them hand in hand through every stage of their lives. He never missed an outing, a camping trip, or a chance to be by their side. Together, they created lasting memories on countless adventures, especially through their shared journey in Boy Scouts. Allen was deeply proud to see each of his sons earn the rank of Eagle Scout, a testament not only to their dedication, but to his steadfast love, encouragement, and presence throughout their lives.
He beamed with pride at the men they have become, always their greatest supporter and quiet but fierce protector. His love for his children was fierce, enduring, and unconditional, the kind of father who showed up, stood tall, and walked beside them every step of the way.
Those who knew Allen will remember his dry wit, steady presence, and the way he led by quiet example. Whether in uniform or among loved ones, he left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
Allen had a wide circle of friends who will miss him terribly, friendships that were built on laughter, loyalty, and shared moments that spanned decades. His absence will be deeply felt by many.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. Always and forever.
