Allen Chester Jenkins III died on August 10, 2025, due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Allen Chester Jenkins III was born on August 5th, 1982. Allen was an answer after many requests and prayers for a baby brother. When Allen was born, his sisters Joce and Mary were 14 and 12 respectively. Strangers assumed he was Joce's son! Spoiled by all around him, Allen did not want for anything, yet he was not self-absorbed or entitled. As a young child, he developed a stutter which he was able to overcome and correct by his seventh birthday.

Allen always enjoyed school and had a plethora of friends. Allen and the family were proud members of the Monmouth County Jack and Jill Organization, attending events and supporting the cause. Allen attended school in Marlboro Township School System and graduated from Christian Brothers Academy in 2001. At CBA he was introduced to wrestling. As a wrestler, he worked very hard to maintain the desired weight needed. He took the time to improve his skill set by attending the "Edge" wrestling program after school. Allen really enjoyed the "CBA" experience. After graduation, Allen enrolled in The School of Business at Howard University in Washington, D.C.

Allen joined the Army Reserve in 2011 and served as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. As a result of his enrollment in the Reserves, his various assignments formed the basis for many stories, that both amazed and humored us. He enjoyed spending time with family especially around his favorite holidays; Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allen was a creature of habit and would insist his mother make his favorite foods, macaroni and cheese, ham, and turkey, in abundance. Allen was a HUGE NY Giants fan. His one and only tattoo is that of the NY Giants on his chest. On Sundays, he absolutely could not be reached on the phone between 1p.m-11 p.m.; we ALL knew he was locked in with games. Allen's affection for the Giants started because his father was a "Diehard" Giant fan. His father bought Jets season tickets, just to see the Giants. Thus, Allen attended MANY JETS games, but unlike his father he did not convert to a JETS fan. Later in life he would go with his friends to as many football, baseball, and basketball games as his schedule would allow. He also listened to many podcasts, and you would always see him with an air pod in his ear listening to sport commentators. His love of sports was a constant conversation with his nephews. He was a supportive uncle and enjoyed watching his nephew wrestle and play football for their respective schools. Allen was a fun-loving person who was loved by all he interacted with.

We were blessed to have Allen for the forty-three years God has granted us with him. Allen had a beautiful spirit and was a person of integrity. He was of simple means and avoided confrontation, strife, and negativity. When he would experience pixelation, his behavior consisted of phone calls to his family asking if we were safe, especially his nephews.

Allen is lovingly remembered by his parents, Allen and Joyce Jenkins; his sisters, Jocelyn (Eric) Cherry and Mary Dillard; his nephews, Ethan Cherry, Trent Cherry, James Dillard III and Jordan Dillard. His supportive and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. His Friend Group Justin; Brian (Mush); Jeremy, Steve, Eric and Leor, and last but certainly not least, His Brothers in Service Sergeant Pena and Sergeant De Bose of the 716th QM CO Force.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, August 23rd from 11:00AM to 12:00PM at Freeman Manalapan Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan, NJ. A Celebration of Life Service will follow from 12:00PM to 1:30PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
