Allen David Kuhn, 40, of Hanover, Pennsylvania, died unexpectedly, due to health complications, on December 12. 2024. Born August 22, 1984, he was the beloved of David and Bonnie (Smith) Kuhn. He was a 2003 graduate of South Western High School and a 2005 graduate of York Technical Institute, with a degree in culinary arts and restaurant management.
Allen was a talented chef and pit master. He was an owner of 3 Hogs BBQ and was also known for his award winning chili and salsa. Above his culinary skills, as an avid fan Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Orioles, and Duke Blue Devils Basketball, fan. He will be lost be remembered for his heart of gold, numerous antics, mischievous smile, and unwavering loyalty.
In addition to his parents, Allen is survived by his dog, PorkChop, with whom he considered his son and has all of attributes, his brother Bryan Kuhn, and two cousins that he considered siblings, Andrew Kuhn and Tricia (Baugher) Brown. Along with them, aunts and uncles, Glenda (Smith) and Bill Smith of Glen Rock, Edward Dubbs of Spring Grove, Janice (Smith) and Frederick Miller of Hampstead, Maryland, Phyllis (Smith) and Raymond Baugher of Shrewsbury, along with numerous cousins and close friends, who he considered his family. He was predeceased by his aunts and uncles, Caroline (Smith) and her husband, Robert Rehmeyer, formally of York New Salem, aunt Marlene (Smith) Dubbs, of Spring Grove, Robert Kuhn, and Gail (Meloy) Kuhn of Hanover, maternal grandparents Jennie (Thomas) and Walter Smith of Glen Rock, and paternal grandparents, Catherine (Dickensheets) and Richard Kuhn, of Hanover.
A Celebration of Allen's life will be held at 12pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at St. David's UCC, on 142 Hobart Road, in Hanover. Visitation with family and friends will be from 10am-12pm, with Rev. Scott A. Sager, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks, to make donations in Allen's name, to St. David's UCC, 142 Hobart Road, Hanover, PA or York County SPCA, at 1359 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.

Allen and I became fast friends in the 1st grade. He always had something witty to cheer anyone up. Truly one of the kindest souls I ever met. Sending hugs to his loved ones left behind.
