Mr. Allen 'Todd' Mullis, age 56 of Douglas, Georgia passed away peacefully
surrounded by family at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia on May
22, 2024. He was born on August 11, 1967 in Ocala, FL to parents Lamar and Kay Mullis. He
spent much of his childhood in Millwood, Georgia, and was a member of the Ware County
High School class of 1985. He later attended Waycross College and Georgia Southern
University, ultimately earning a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Major in Finance
& Banking in 1989. Upon graduation, he began his career in banking in Waycross, Georgia
where he met his wife Danae shortly before moving to Coffee County. After 22 years of
working in the banking and finance sector throughout Coffee County and surrounding
areas, he retired from banking before transitioning to the transportation industry.
Throughout his career, Todd served in many professional capacities within the community,
including as a Former Member and President of the Douglas Lions Club, a Former Board
Member of the Douglas/Coffee County Chamber of Commerce, and an alumnus of the
Georgia Agri-Leaders Forum Foundation and Douglas/Coffee County Leadership 90s. He
loved his family immensely and enjoyed leisure time fishing with his three sons.
Todd is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Danae Mullis of Douglas, Georgia; 3
sons: Chandler Mullis of Valdosta, Georgia, Spencer Mullis of Tampa, Florida, Parker Mullis
of Statesboro, Georgia, parents Lamar and Kay Mullis of Millwood, Georgia, along with
several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his only sibling and brother,
Michael Mullis.
Todd's family will receive friends in the chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home on
Sunday afternoon, May 26, 2024, from 4:00PM – 6:00PM. The funeral will be held on
Monday afternoon, May 27, 2024 at 2:00PM in the chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with
burial to immediately follow at St. Illa Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be: Dr. Herbert Barber, Charlie Boyd, Roger Bullock, Chuck
Ennis, Erik Ennis and Caleb Ennis.
Condolences may be left for the family at www.ricketsonfuneralhome.com.
Ricketson Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
