Allen Stellingwerf

Allen Stellingwerf, age 92, of Ramsey died September 29, 2022, surrounded by loved ones. Born and raised in Hawthorne, NJ, Al was a third-degree Mason. He served his country proudly in the US Air Force from 1951 – 1953 and holds a master's degree from Fairleigh Dickenson University.
Al was the owner of Aldors Cabinet Corner and Swim Center in Wyckoff, NJ until he retired to enjoy his hobby of renovating his houses at Greenwood Lake and Wolf Lake, fishing with his children and grandchildren, and spending time with his loving wife of 67 years, Doris. Throughout his life, Al loved Big Band music and enjoyed playing the trumpet to the swinging sounds of Glenn Miller and Harry James.
Surviving Al are his devoted wife Doris, daughter Diane Lancaster and husband Jim, son Glenn Stellingwerf and wife Susan, and daughter Lynda Abel and husband Doug. Al also leaves his adoring grandchildren, Brian and Christina Stellingwerf, Christopher and Jonathan Lancaster, and Jessica and Allison Abel, and his brother Robert Stellingwerf and wife Margie and nieces Sarah and Aileen.
The Family will have visitation on Monday October 3, 2022, from 10:00am – 1:00pm which will include a Celebration of Life from 12:00 - 1:00pm at Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ.
