Allen Albert Stroklund

Allen Albert Stroklund went to be with our Lord on August 25, 2022 at the age of 82.
Memorial Service: 12:30 on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home, 500 E Main Street, Grand Prairie, TX, 75050. Burial with military honors will follow at DFW National Cemetery.
Allen was born on November 25, 1939, to John Olaf Stroklund and Ida Jean Ennis Stroklund in Ward County, North Dakota. Allen graduated from St. Agnus Academy in Kenmare, North Dakota. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958 serving eight years and achieving the rank of Sargent. He served his country honorably in Vietnam, receiving the Vietnam Commendation Medal of Honor. He then enrolled in Highline Community College in Seattle, Washington, graduating with honors achieving both AGS and AAB degrees.
In 1980, Allen returned to North Dakota where he met and married the love of his life, Lonna "Jodi". They spent 41 glorious years together as husband and wife. Allen loved to garden, landscape, carpentry and travel. He and Jodi enjoyed the rugged landscapes of Alaska, the tropical paradise of Hawaii along with many more adventures.
One of the greatest joys of his life, were his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Allen was preceded in death by his father, mother, brothers Jack, Lynn, and Don. He is survived by wife Jodi, his brothers Dale, Jim, Tim and John as well as his children, Carolyn, Michael, Tamra, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was a great man loved by all who knew him.
