Allen Dean Woods, aged 61, of Corsicana, Texas, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in the same town where he first saw the light of day on December 6, 1963. A man of humor and heart, Allen's presence was a source of joy and laughter to all who knew him.
Allen's life was one of love and dedication, most notably to his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Tracy Foster, who was his partner in every sense of the word. His father, Gerald Woods, will miss the deep conversations and the silent understanding that only a father and son can share. Allen's legacy continues through his children, Wyatt Hildebrand and his wife Chelby, and Maggie Coulston and her husband Zach, who will carry forward his spirit of kindness and mischief. His grandchildren, Astrid Owen and Zora Coulston, were the apples of his eye, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Allen also leaves behind his cousin, Ann Pettyjohn, who shared many of life's adventures with him. His furry companion, Sugar Rhea Woods, will surely miss his gentle pats and playful banter.
Allen was preceded in death by his mother, Janice (May) Woods, and his sister, Darla Woods, both of whom he spoke of often and fondly, keeping their memories alive in his stories.
A connoisseur of the finer things in life, Allen had an unmatched appreciation for Ozzy Osborne's music, often seen wearing band memorabilia and attending concerts whenever possible. His passion for professional wrestling was more than a hobby; it was a part of his identity, and he could debate the merits of wrestlers with the fervor of a true fan. Allen's love for snuff was well-known, and he prided himself on always having the best selection at hand.
Allen's sense of humor was legendary. He was a jokester through and through, both in telling jokes and pulling pranks on others. His laughter was infectious, and his ability to find humor in the everyday was a gift he generously shared. His presence on social media, especially Facebook, was unmistakable, as he often found himself in 'Facebook Jail' for his outspoken and humorous posts.
Beyond his interests, Allen was a man of great love and acceptance. He treated his step-children as his own, embracing them with open arms and an open heart. His long-time online rock radio show was a testament to his love for music and his desire to connect with others, sharing his favorite tunes and engaging with listeners from all walks of life.
Allen Dean Woods lived a life that was full, vibrant, and meaningful. His absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit will continue to inspire laughter, love, and the courage to be unapologetically oneself. As we say goodbye to Allen, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
A Celebration of Allen's Life will is scheduled for Friday, November 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel.
