Jo Ann Hawk

JoAnn Miller Hawk died Wednesday, November 5, 2025. She was born in Longview, Texas and graduated in 1952. JoAnn graduated from S.M.U in 1955 and married David Reese Hawk the same year. They moved to Corsicana Texas in 1960. She is survived by son Mark and wife Kristin Hawk, son, Dean Hawk, grandsons Hayden Hawk and wife Taylor, Logan Hawk and wife Mary, and 5 great grandchildren Mia, Brady, Casey, Jovie and Whitaker and her ever faithful and loyal canine companion Good Girl.
As per her wishes she will be cremated with a Celebration of Life at a later date. Always one for brevity and modesty, our mother wrote the above obituary for herself several years ago. We feel compelled to offer this addition as a tribute to the lady we loved so dearly. Her kindness and generosity was felt by countless friends, family, neighbors and even those whom she did not know. Always one to send a thank you note or remember a birthday, she had a gift for making everyone feel cherished and valued. Her dry wit could always bring a smile to your face. JoAnn will be remembered for a lifetime of service to her church and community.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Corsicana YMCA, The First United Methodist Church, and the Humane Society of Navarro County.
While her heart may have stopped in the end, it continues to beat on in all those whom she loved.
