William "Bill" Hawk, 68 of Chicopee passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 5, 2025, surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Holyoke to the late Charles and Syliva (Santowski) Hawk and raised in Chicopee with his four brothers and two sisters. He attended Chicopee High school, and worked at JM Fields, where he met and fell in love with Ann (LeClair). After graduation, Ann and Bill were married and later welcomed their son Christopher. Bill was dependable, a hard worker and dedicated employee at Kimball Company. But his first love was for his family and to ensure someone was always home for his son. Bill changed his shift to work nights as Crew Chief at Big Y when Christopher entered school and remained there until he retired in 2019. In his free time Bill could often be found on his fishing boat with his family, relaxing out in nature. Bill loved the outdoors, and his summers were dotted with vacations to Cape Cod, Lake Champlain and visiting lakes throughout the Northeast. He truly enjoyed sharing the adventure of traveling to and exploring new locations, especially with his family. Some of his favorite trips were to Alaska, the Grand Canyon, and islands all through the Caribbean. Besides his parents, Bill is predeceased by his brothers, Edward and Daniel. He is survived by his wife, Ann (LeClair) Hawk; son, Christopher Hawk and his fiancé, Jed Anne Jacinto; two brothers, Charles and Donald and two sisters, Linda Nahorniak and Susan Piascik. Willing to do anything for family, Bill paid attention to the small details that made life easier and more joyful to the ones around him. He will be forever missed for his deep love, quick wit and unique brand of humor that always brought laughter to those around him. As Bill's wish was to be remembered how he was in life. There are no calling hours.
