Allene W. Plotner, age 95, of Joliet, IL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Lightways Hospice in Joliet, IL. She was born on October 3, 1930, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late John and Allie Faulkner.
She grew up in Tennessee and had been a resident of the Joliet area for more than 50 years. She had a love for horses and especially enjoyed watching horse racing. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family. Her greatest joy was being with her loved ones and creating special memories with her great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness.
Survived by her daughter, Patsy Lovell; grandson, James (Danielle) Jodison; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Tyler, Nathan, Angelena, and Xander; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sue Pruett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Arbor Day Foundation.
Visitation for Allene W. Plotner will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. Joliet, IL. As it was Allene's request, cremation rites have been accorded.
