Allison Nicole Wood

A memorial service celebrating the life of Allison Hargett Wood, 46, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Westlakes Seventh-Day Adventist Church in West Monroe, LA. Pastors Rex Shores, Lindle Stewart and John Traylor will be officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at Westlakes Church.
Allison passed away peacefully September 20, 2024 at her home. She was a graduate of West Ouachita High School and attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She also completed LPN nursing program at Louisiana Delta Community College.
Allison also loved music and played piano at Westlakes Seventh-Day Adventist Church in West Monroe and at New Light Baptist Church in Monroe.
Her love of all animals, especially cats and horses, was evident. But her greatest joy in life was her family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Tuberville Hargett; her grandparents, Albert and Louise Hargett; Horace Tuberville and Mary Jerry.
Allison is survived by her husband, Richard Wood and their three sons, Jack Reed Wood, Luke Chatham Wood and Trigger Davis Wood. She is also survived by her father and stepmother, Stan and Gayle Hargett, sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Gary Simpson of Apopka, FL and their two sons, Tyler Marc Simpson and Kyle Austin Simpson.
