Alma Lucile Harbeson, 99, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at her home in Corydon. She was born in Corydon on February 21, 1925, the daughter of Strouse and Minnie Rainbolt Crecelius. She worked and retired from ICI in Charlestown, Indiana. She was a 50 plus year member of Old Capitol Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, a life-time member of VFW Auxiliary #2950 and an active member of Corydon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard Harbeson and Grandson Micheal Howard Harbeson. She is survived by four sons, Dennis Harbeson, Dallas (Donna) Harbeson, Steven (Reba) Harbeson and Jeff (Sandy) Harbeson all of Corydon, Indiana. Five daughters: Sandra (Michael) Hamilton, Harriett (Clyde) Eckart both of Corydon, Indiana, Mindy (Gary) Timberlake of Ramsey, Indiana, Judy (George) Yates of Brandenburg, Kentucky, Ruth (James) Phipps of Ramsey, Indiana. Sister-in -law, Gloria Harbeson, Twenty Grandchildren and Thirty-six Great Grandchildren and Five Great-Great Grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of extended family. Funeral services will be held at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, 318 E. Chestnut St. Corydon, Indiana on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Pastor Janet Kelley will officiate. The burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana. A visitation will be held at the funeral home in Corydon on Sunday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and after 9 AM on Monday. Alma's family suggests memorial donations be made to Corydon UM Church, 214 N. Elm Street, Corydon, Indiana 47112, or to Gentiva Hospice, 3691 Quartermaster Ct., Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
