Aloha Co Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Costello-Runyon Funeral Home - Metuchen on Mar. 28, 2025.
Aloha Fe Buot Co, 78, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at her home with her husband, Antonio Co, by her side. Aloha was born in Palompon, Leyte, Philippines on June 24, 1946 to the late Heriberto Buot and Peggy Engle Buot. She lived in Neptune and Newark before residing in Edison, NJ for the past 45 years.
Aloha is predeceased by her parents, Heriberto and Peggy Buot; two brothers, Herbert and Fritz Buot; and one sister, Celeste Redulla. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Antonio Co; her daughter Jacqueline Co of Edison; her son, Anthony Co and his wife Yoojung of West Windsor, NJ; her daughter Stephanie Cho and her husband Daniel of Belmont, MA; her brothers, Ferdinand and Robert Buot; her sisters, Peggy Cuzzolina and Dulce Sylvester; and seven grandchildren, Caleb, Caitlyn, Caris, Caden, Elizabeth, Katherine, and Carsten.
As a teenager, she surrendered her life to Jesus at an evangelistic crusade in the Philippines. Aloha has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Metuchen for close to 40 years. She was the founder of the Filipino Adult Bible Study Fellowship that she led in her home for the last 25 years. Aloha enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and watching old family videos with her husband was a favorite pastime. She sang and played the piano beautifully, and especially enjoyed many musical performances by her children and grandchildren. She loved to praise and worship the Lord and read the Bible. She had a big heart, sharing the love of God with many in her life. She will be dearly missed.
The visitation and Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Metuchen, 225 Middlesex Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840 (732-548-4279). Arrangements are under the direction of the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home in Metuchen, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to First Baptist Church of Metuchen in her memory would be appreciated by the family.
