Alonzo Warren Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carnes Funeral Home - Texas City on Feb. 12, 2026.
It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of our beloved Alonzo "Lonnie" Curtis Warren, who entered this world on November 8, 1963, and departed on January 8, 2026, 62 y/o. Born in Los Angeles, California, he moved to San Jose, as a teenager with his mother and four siblings. After completing his 8 years of military service, specializing in Communications Systems and Petroleum Supply, Alonzo settled in Houston, Texas in 1992.

Professionally, Alonzo worked as a Certified Non-Destructive Testing - Welding Inspector in the oil and gas industry for many years until his retirement. He had a passion for souping up his cars, low riding and enhancing audio sound systems to enjoy his favorite music. A dedicated San Francisco 49ers fan, Alonzo also played baseball in his early years and even earned a college scholarship for his talent.

Alonzo is survived by his daughter Alanna C. Warren-Fitchett (Houston, TX), his ex-wife-Alanna's mother Angel L. Fitchett, his mother Donna Ballard (San Jose, CA), older brother Donald Warren (San Jose, CA), younger brother Michael Warren (San Jose, CA), and nephew Brian Washington (San Jose, CA). He is remembered by many other nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Alonzo was preceded in death by his father Frenchie Dubois Warren, sisters Candice Washington and Marie Perry, among other family members. We take solace in the belief that he is now celebrating with them. We extend our gratitude to Michelle Porter, her family, and many others at various hospitals for their support of Alonzo during his health challenges.

As we remember and celebrate Alonzo's life, let us find comfort in the beautiful moments, laughter, and cherished memories we shared with him. In this time of grief, may we lean on each other for support, keeping Alonzo's spirit alive in our hearts.

With deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences,

Angel & Alanna Fitchett
