Alta Coombe Obituary
She was born March 10, 1934 in Archey Valley, Arkansas to the late Sam and Cassie Gillam.
Alta was a loving and compassionate woman who spent many years caring for others with patience and kindness. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, listening to country music, and sharing good times with family and friends. Those who knew her will remember her big heart, gentle nature, and the way she made everyone feel cared for and valued.
She is survived by two daughters, Debra Bolton (Elden) and Cindy Moore, her grandchildren, Chris Bolton, Jessica Bolton, Amanda Lester, Matt Gilliam, Vince Gilliam, Jamie King, Ben Moore, Alex Moore, and Zach Moore, eight great grandchildren, her sister, Margaret Justus, her brother, James Gillam, and her niece whom she shared a strong bond with, Betty Kroboth. She is also survived by a host of extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-three years, Carl Coombe, two daughters, Donna Gilliam and Carla Coombe, and eleven siblings, May, Jess, Loy, Ralph, Denver, Bobby, Grace, Priscilla, Evelyn, Cecil, and Dennis.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Gateway Baptist Church in Judsonia, Arkansas.
