Altagracia Santos

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Altagracia Santos-Vargas our loving and devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, mother, and friend to all whose lives she touched. She left us on Wednesday, October 19th, 2022 while sleeping peacefully. She was 81 years old and a longtime resident of Springfield, Massachusetts.
Altagracia was born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, on January 21st, 1941, to her parents Liborio Santos and Alejandrina Vargas.
Altagracia was very much loved where she was described as a pillar in her community and a surrogate mother to many.
She lived a full life as a wonderful mother and excellent grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to sew, garden and was an animal lover.
Most of all she loved her family and friends and instilled good values in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren that have served them well.
She leaves family behind in Puerto Rico as well as family locally, her two grandsons Victor Narváez and Jose Garcia and great grandchildren Victoria Narváez, Lucas Narváez and Levi Narváez and her two dogs Motty and Rokie.
She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, November 4, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Puerta Del Cielo® Funeral Home, 730 State Street, Springfield, MA. Registry for Altagracia Santos
