In Loving Memory of Althea Cecelia Wright
September 10, 1959 – Greensburg, PA
With deep sorrow and enduring love, we celebrate the life of Althea Cecelia Wright, who entered eternal rest in her beloved hometown of Greensburg, Pennsylvania-the same place where her remarkable journey began on September 10, 1959.
Althea was a force of nature-bold, joyful, and full of life. Known for her boisterous laugh, warm hugs, and no-nonsense wisdom, she had a magnetic presence that made everyone feel at home. The life of every party, Althea danced through life with unmatched energy, often to the rhythms of her favorite artists-Tupac and T.I. Music was her heartbeat, but her deepest passion was loving her people fiercely and fearlessly.
To know Althea was to be wrapped in love, kindness, and care. She had a way of showing up exactly when needed-whether with a plate of food, words of encouragement, or a good laugh that healed the soul. Her heart was as big as her personality, and she gave of it freely.
She leaves behind a legacy rooted in love, laughter, and strength. Cherishing her memory are her beloved children, Tomyka and Julio, and her bonus daughter, Celeste, who will carry on her fiery spirit and deep compassion. She is also remembered by her devoted sister, Brenda, whose bond with Althea was unbreakable.
Her beautiful legacy lives on through her grandchildren: Jon, Jason, Jane', Jayla, Niajia, Robert, and Keona-each a reflection of her vibrant light. Her joy continues through her great-grandchildren: Zy'Erra, Jon, Ava, Zion, YhAne, Kairo, and J'Aire, who will grow up hearing stories of the remarkable woman who loved them before they ever arrived.
Though her voice is now silent, the echoes of her laughter, her music, and her love will forever fill the hearts of those who knew her. Althea was truly one of a kind-a woman who lived out loud, loved without limits, and left the world better just by being in it.
Rest easy, Althea. Your light will never dim.
