Diana Grace Jones Walker Jones, the beloved ninth child and daughter of Clauzell and Lillie B. Jones, was born on October 8, 1957, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Diana was raised in both the Hill District and the South Side "Beltzoover area" of Pittsburgh, where she graduated from South Hills High School. From an early age, she loved helping people. She first worked at Kaufmann's Department Store for a few years, but her true calling was in healthcare. She began her journey in nursing as a nurse's aide at Kane Hospital, where she spent countless days caring for patients with compassion and dedication. Later, she added to her skills by becoming a physical therapy assistant. Diana was a hard worker who put her heart into everything she did. She was passionate about justice and fairness, never hesitating to speak up when something wasn't right-especially when it came to the well-being of her patients.

After more than 20 years of service doing what she loved, Diana retired in 2016. Yet retirement did not slow her down. She continued to share her talents at CCAC, teaching arts and crafts classes, and she remained active in her community. Diana loved to travel, had a competitive spirit, and was a devoted basketball fan-cheering enthusiastically for her favorite teams and playfully debating about the ones she didn't. She also enjoyed spending time at the Senior Center in Hazelwood, where she joined friends for outings, card games, board games, bingo, and arts and crafts. A lover of history, Diana often shared stories of significant events in Pittsburgh and beyond, keeping those memories alive for others.

Diana faced illness with courage and strength. After a period of recovery at Whitehall Borough Post Acute in Pittsburgh, she peacefully transitioned in her sleep on the afternoon of August 23, 2025, at the age of 67.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clauzell and Lillie B. Jones; her sister, Charlene Summers; her brothers, David Jones, Glenn Jones, and Larry Jones; and her nephew, Spencer D. Gwinn.

Diana's precious memories will be cherished by her son, George A. Walker Jr.; her grandson, George A. Walker III; her niece, Kellie M. Seay; her nephews, Marlon R. Jones, Larry Jones, Mark Smith, and Eric Jones; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Diana will truly be loved and missed.
